About Myself

I was born and raised in Bemidji, Minnesota. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of North Dakota in 1995. I then attended Bemidji State University for my kindergarten licensure. I earned my Master's Degree in Education at Winona State University in June, 2001. I earned a K-12 Reading Specialist Degree from St. Mary's in December of 2013.

My teaching experience includes two years of all day/every day kindergarten in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and five years of all day/every day kindergarten here at K-M before moving up to first grade. This is my eighteenth year of teaching first grade, and 25th year of teaching overall! I live in Rochester with my husband Paul and my daughters, Alia and Aubrey. Alia graduated from K-M in 2020 and attends Concordia Wisconsin, working towards a degree in Occupational Therapy.   Aubrey is in 10th grade here at K-M.   We are proud KoMets!
