Welcome to Mr. E's Third Grade Website!

I am currently in my 17th year of teaching at Kasson-Mantorville, and starting my first year in Fourth Grade at  the Elementary.  I graduated from St. John's University in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I played hockey and baseball in college and enjoyed teaching myself how to play the guitar as well (in between classes of course!)  I also earned my graduate degree from Winona State University in 2007.

I played professional hockey for three years after graduation and spent the majority of those years living in Louisiana and the Carolinas.  It was a great experience and I enjoyed traveling the entire east coast by bus, and I managed to even learn how to sleep on a bus comfortably.

I am married to Kristen who works at Mayo Clinic as an Athletic Trainer.  She works with RCTC in the fall and works with athletes in clinic during the winter.   I also have one daughter, Layna, who turned fifteen this August.  She is in 9th Grade in Rochester Mayo High School.  She plays varsity soccer and basketball (don't ask long story) for Rochester Mayo High School.

I also enjoy coaching hockey outside of the school day.  I am currently in my 9th year at Rochester John Marshall as an assistant hockey coach.  Before that, I spent 9 years coaching in Dodge County as the head coach of both the boys' and girls' hockey programs.  I also was the head coach for the golf program for five years in the Kasson-Mantorville School District.
