Expand Your Literacy Skills, Readers!

We will be diving further into LITERACY this year. We will read TONS of quality literature, including Caldecott and Newbery winners and other award winners. Scott Foresman's Reading Street will also be used as a resource. Students will be active participants in CAFE and Daily 5, literacy programs designed to help students gain skills as readers at an individual level. CAFE stands for: Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding Vocabulary. We will also spend a significant amount of time reading awesome literature in the content areas: Science and Social Studies.
