What does S.M.A.R.T. stand for?
What is S.M.A.R.T.?
S.M.A.R.T. is a brain stimulation program. S.M.A.R.T. provides brain stimulating activities to help bring children up to or beyond their age level and prepare them for the pre-primary learning.
-Our brains learning by seeing, hearing, and touching things many, many, many times.
-Our brains also learn through intense stimulation.
-Our brains learn over time.
-Brain stimulation through S.M.A.R.T. aims to mature sensory pathways of vision, auditory and learning through movement.
-Our hope as educators is to help messages travel quickly and efficiently. We want to accelerate both the speed and efficiency of each message.
1. Increase the paths by which the message can travel.
2. Increase the speed at which the message can travel.
-With S.M.A.R.T. we aim to have the foundation skills in place, so the brain stem can perform automatic functions and the brain can perform high functioning work such as analysis and comprehension.
-Use the principles:
the brain and body to be ready to learn.
